Animal art rocks
Most kids love animals and with this animal art rocks art and craft project your kids can create their own 'pet' rocks that they can keep and love. Grab a few rocks and some paint and get crafting today.

- picture of an animal face
- smooth egg-shaped rock
- dishwashing soap
- water
- scrubbing brush
- newspapers
- sharp pencil
- acrylic paints
- wide brush (finger-width) and narrow brush
Activity:
Search through magazines for pictures of animals that your child would like to draw.
Find a smooth rock that is in the basic shape of the animal’s face that you would like to draw.
Scrub the rock thoroughly and allow it to dry completely.
Pencil a design on the rock, then paint the outline and shadows of the animal using a wide brush.
Fill in the big blocks of colour using the wide brush.
Allow your rock to dry.
