Collage it

This fun activity will keep the kids entertained for hours. Imagination is your only limitation.

What you need:

• Paper – printed templates
• Magazines to cut pictures
• A variety of pom poms, glitter, beads, pipe cleaners etc.
• Glue 
• Scissors

There is no method to doing collage!! This is where your child takes the lead and goes nuts! If he is unsure, you may want to help him with his first collage, or sit and make one next to him – for me this works better, it prevents me from showing him the ‘right way to build the base of the tree’!

He is choosing to place the sticks in all different directions – a little much for my OCD, but just right for his sense of autonomy!

Next we tackled Santa! We used cotton balls and pipe-cleaners.

Then we did a snowman, that Master J had to construct by using the shapes provided! I gave a little guidance in terms of : “where is the biggest circle?“ – this helps with spatial reasoning development and offers a sense of: “I can!“

He chose to use glitter for this one – and lots of it!! -_- 
So if you are precious about your glitter, set some out in a smaller container, because in this case, with children like mine, more is more!

Once he got started he couldn’t stop – so I just let him go for it, and here is our final collection:
