Night sky mobile

The night sky is fascinating to kids. From nursery rhymes such as Twinkle twinkle little star, to cows jumping over the moon, the night sky has played a big role in getting kids off to sleep. Make this mobile with the kids and watch as they create a masterpiece to love as they nod off.

What you need:

• coloured card or paper
• hole puncher
• string
• coat hanger
• scissors
• coloured pencils or crayons

Decorative options:

• glitter
• glue
• sequin jewels

Activity:

Cut out four large stars and one moon from coloured card or poster paper.

Punch a hole in each using the hole puncher.

Colour in and decorate as desired.

Cut five differing lengths of string (as long or short as you would like).

Tie a piece of string to each star and moon.

Order them across the base of the coat hanger.

When happy with their arrangement, tie them in place.
