Spider’s web mobile

All kids love a bit of art and craft. With this super cool activity, kids can make their very own spider web mobile to hang up in their room. Kids will love making, decorating and getting messy whilst having all this fun!

What you need:

• metal coat hanger
• wool
• base of an egg carton
• tape
• scissors
• leaves
• pipe cleaners
• felt tip pens

Activity:

To make the spiders, cut a hump from the egg carton base.

Poke four holes in its side for pipe cleaners.

Do the same on the corresponding side.

Help your child to insert the pipe cleaners, bending at each end to create legs.

Make a hole in the top of the hump and insert wool (“web”), tying a knot on the inside.

Get your child to draw on a face.

To make the web, bend the coat hanger into a circle.

Help your child to weave a web of wool in and around the metal circle.

Tie on the egg carton spiders and tape on some leaves that you have collected from outside.

Hang up in your child’s room for display.
