2012 school holiday calendar

Those school holidays keep sneaking up on us don't they? And since we to the four-term year, it can seem like there are more holidays than school days! Keeping track of the school term dates can be harder than it seems - pupil-free days are common at the start of a new term, and many private/independent school holiday schedules differ slightly from the state schools, so it's always best to check with your child's school to be sure. We've made it easier for you by compiling the legislated dates for public school holidays throughout New Zealand in 2012.

2012 - Primary and Intermediate Schools

1st Term	b/w Monday 30 January (at the earliest) and Tuesday  7 February (at the latest)	Thursday 5 April (86 to 96 half days)
2nd Term	Monday 23 April	Friday 29 June (96 half-days)
3rd Term	Monday 16 July	Friday 28 September (110 half days)
4th Term	Monday 15 October	No later than Thursday 20 December (96 half-days) or to a day in December which ensures that the school has been open for instruction for 388 half-days in 2012

 

2012 - Secondary and Composite Schools
