Make a jazzy Easter parade hat
This year's Easter parade will be yummy fun with this edible jazzy Easter hat idea. It is the ultimate no-fuss Easter hat solution - all you need to do is make a quick trip to the supermarket for supplies and cobble it all together the night before.
You will need:
- 1 x sparkly jazz hat (from the supermarket's party supplies aisle)
- a packet of mini Easter eggs
- chicks (optional, I got mine from a discount shop)
- sticky tape
How to assemble your jazzy edible Easter hat
Attach lengths of string to about 10 or 15 of the chocolate mini Easter eggs. Use plain old sticky tape to do this.
Now use a heated skewer (heat the tip on the gas hob on your stovetop, if you have one) to pierce 10 - 15 holes around the rim of the hat. Or you could get a ball of play dough and make a hole by tapping the skewer through the edge of the hat with a hammer. Use the play dough to protect the surface you're working on.
Thread the egg strings through and tie a knot to keep each one in place.
Add extra decorations using this FREE Easter egg printable and glue or sticky tape fluffy chicks around the brim.
And there you have it - your child is good to go. And even though it was minimal effort, you can guarantee the edible chocolate on the hat will make this Easter hat parade idea a winner with classmates.
