Baby guacamole

When baby is ready for finger food, try this easy guacamole dip that imakes a healthy first food for baby you can make at home.


  • 1/2 ripe avocado
  • 1/4 tomato
  • 1 tbsp olive oil


Cut and deseed the avocado and mash in a bowl.

Sautee tomatoes in the olive oil over medium heat until soft and sauce-like.

Puree the tomato and stir through the avocado.

Great with carrot sticks and crackers.


  • Tomatoes are an allergenic food and can be a little acidic when not cooked. Be sure to watch baby closely for signs of an allergic reaction - redness around the mouth, itching and rashes.
  • Avocado goes brown quickly and doesn’t freeze at all so this is best eaten straight away.
