Balloon animals: giraffe
Balloon animals are not as tricky as they look! Making this balloon giraffe will improve your child's fine motor skills and can also be a great party game at their next birthday celebration.
What you need:
- 1 x orange balloon inflated to around 75cm
- a black marker pen
Twist an 8cm bubble to form the giraffe's head, then twist two 3cm bubbles to form the ears.
Lock twist the ears and head together, so that the ears sit on top of the head.
Twist a really long bubble for the giraffe's neck - about 20cm.
Now twist two 10cm bubbles for the two front legs.
Lock twist the two front legs together (see video.)
Now you need a 5cm bubble for the body and then two 9cm bubbles for the back legs (making sure you're leaving enough left over for a tail.)
Lock twist the back legs together.
Now draw some markings on your giraffe to make him look really authentic.
