Chinese New Year firecracker garland
Chinese New Year happens every year in January - and is a great excuse to get the kids into fun red and gold craft activities. Try making these fun firecracker garlands that are super-simple to make.
What you need:
- 50 cm x red polar fleece
- 50 cm x orange polar fleece
- 1m x cord
Cut the polar fleece into 10cm strips that are 2cm wide.
Alternating between the two colours, knot the polar fleece around the cord. With each knot, push the fleece down till it sits hard up against the previous knot - you should be able to completely cover the cord in this way.
Continue until you have knotted all the cord.
Hang your firecracker garland vertically.
