Winter craft: Make paper snowflakes
Paper snowflakes look incredibly complex, but they are one of the easiest low-fuss crafts you can do. All you need is a square of white paper and some scissors. Watch the video below to find out how to make your own spectacularly impressive paper snowflakes.
What you need:
- 1 square of white paper
Watch the video below to discover the simple secret behind making beautifully intricate snowflakes:
Fold your piece of paper on the diagonal.
Now fold that triangle into a smaller triangle.
Fold one corner of that smaller triangle down just to the left of the centre line.
Overlap the back flap so that you have two overlapping triangles with two pointed edges at the bottom.
Cut off the pointed edge at the bottom, so you have a rough isosceles triangle.
Now make small triangular cuts into both sides of that triangle.
Open it out.
You should have a delicate and intricate snowflake.
Make lots and hang them from the ceiling using fishing wire and Blu-tak to create a winter wonderland.
