Make a Fathers Day rosette
Make Dad a champion's rosette this Father's Day. A simple but oh-so-cute Father's Day craft you can do with the kids.
What you need:
- 2 x A4 sheets of blue paper
- 1 x small piece of box card (10cm x 10cm)
- 1 x small piece of gold wrapping paper or similar (10cm x 10cm)
- black marker pen
Cut two 7cm strips, lengthways from one of your pieces of blue paper.
Concertina fold each strip.
Now glue them end to end at both ends to form a circle.
Sit the circle upright on the table and press the top edges inward to make a flat circle (see video).
Place a dab of glue in the centre to keep the circle in place.
Cut two more strips of blue paper: 4cm x 15cm.
Cut the end of each in diagonals to form the ends of ribbon (see video).
Overlap the straight-edged ends diagonally and stick them to the back of the rosette.
Now cut a (approx) 7.5cm diameter circle from the box card.
Cut the same sized circle from the gold wrapping paper.
Glue them together.
Write, "Number 1 Dad" on the gold circle. (Or whatever you want to write!)
Stick it to the front of the rosette, in the centre.
Dad is now a champ for Father's Day!
