Caramel sauce

Ingredients

  • 2 cups, firmly packed brown sugar
  • 300ml thickened cream
  • 100g butter, cubed
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence

Method

Combine the sugar, cream, butter and vanilla essence in a medium saucepan.

Stir over low heat until butter melts and the mixture is combined.
