Creamy curried sausages recipe
- 5 thick beef sausages
- 1 onion, sliced
- 1 carrot, diced
- 1 tsp sweet paprika
- 1 tsp tumeric
- 1 tsp curry powder
- freshly cracked pepper
- 2 zucchini, sliced
- 100g green beans
- 1 tin Light and Creamy evaporated milk
- 1 glass water
- 1 tsp cornflour
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
In a frying pan, cook the sausages until just done, slice and set aside. Discard residual oil from the pan.
In the same pan, add the onion, carrot and cook until the onion is transparent. Add the paprika, tumeric, pepper, brown sugar and curry powder. Fry this for 2 minutes.
Add the sliced sausages to the pan with the evaporated milk and stir. Mix the cornflour into the glass of water and add to the pan. Stir continuously until the sauce thickens. Add the zuchini and beans and cook for 3 minutes.
Serve with rice or mashed potatoes.
- This recipe was on the table in less than 20 minutes and has a beautiful creamy texture.
- The curry flavour is mild but you can add more heat with just a little more curry powder.
