Strawberry topping recipe
- 2 punnets strawberries, hulled and quartered
- 4 tbsp castor sugar
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
In a saucepan, place half of the strawberries along with the sugar, vanilla and the water. Bring to the boil and simmer for 5 minutes.
Process in the saucepan with a stick blender and add the remaining strawberries.
Place back on the stove to heat for 2 minutes.
- This so simple to make but packed full of flavour.
- It will keep in the fridge for a couple of weeks.
