Ham omelette recipe
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 green onion, sliced finely
- salt and pepper
- 1 tsp butter
- 1/2 cup chopped ham
- 1/2 cup cheddar cheese, grated
In a bowl, mix the eggs, milk, green onion, salt and pepper.
Heat a frying pan on medium heat, add the butter and roll around the pan to coat.
Gently pour in the egg mixture and roll the pan to coat. Lift the edges using an egg slice to make sure it isn't sticking to the pan. When the egg is almost set, place the ham and cheese on half of the omelette and flip the other half over it. Cook further until cheese is melted. Serve with a side salad.
- It's best to use your best non-stick pan for this recipe or you will need more butter to stop it sticking.
- I have used mozzarella cheese for this recipe before and it gives it a lovely gooey texture to the centre.
