Grilled peaches recipe
Peaches are ideal for grilling as this type of quick cooking makes them juicy and concentrates sweetness. You can serve grilled peaches with pork steaks. Find more on Kidspot New Zealand.
- 6 peaches
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
Cut peaches in half and remove stone.
Brush cut side lightly with vegetable oil.
Place face down on a preheated grill for 3-4 minutes.
Turn and cook on the other side for 3 minutes.
- You need to choose peaches that are firm and not too ripe for this recipe or they will collapse as soon as they hit the grill.
- Around 3-4 minutes should be long enough for the grill to mark lines on your peaches.
- If you want them to be really sweet, you can sprinkle some brown sugar on them and pop them into the oven for 10 minutes at 190°C fan-forced for 10 minutes after grilling the face.
