Palmiers recipe

These cute little palmiers are perfect to have for afternoon tea and cook up quickly. I flavoured these ones with cinnamon and sugar. Find more on Kidspot New Zealand.



  • 2 sheets frozen puff pastry
  • 1/2 cup caster sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon


Lay pastry sheets on the bench to defrost.

In a bowl, combine the sugar and cinnamon together.

Line 2 baking trays with baking paper.

When pastry is defrosted sprinkle sugar and cinnamon mix evenly over the top of each sheets.

Turn the top edge down 2cm and the bottom edge up 2cm and repeat. Fold both sides together and press down firmly. Cut 1 cm strips and place on the tray cut sides up leaving 3 cm between each pastry.

Place in the refrigerator for 10 minutes.

Preheat oven to 200°C.

Bake for 15-20 minutes.
