Chocolate Caramel Slice recipe
1 1/2 cups self-raising flour
3/4 cup coconut
1/2 cup brown sugar
150g melted butter
400g can condensed milk
1 cup choc melts or cooking chocolate
1/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
30g chopped butter
1 tsp vanilla essence
Combine all base ingredients, mix well, press firmly into Lamington tray
Bake at 220c for about 10-12 min or until lightly browned
Remove, set aside and prepare topping
Combine all ingredients in a large saucepan
Stir constantly over heat until smooth continue stirring over heat until the mixture comes to full a boil.
Reduce heat to a gentle boil, stir constanly over heat for a further 10 minutes, use immediately.
Pour topping over base, allow to cool before cutting into squares.
Refrigerate in warm weather.
