Watermelon Jack-o'-Lantern recipe

Cut a jack-o’-lantern from a watermelon instead of a pumpkin – it’s easier and the fruit is ready to enjoy straight away!

  • 1 whole watermelon

Use a small, sharp knife to cut a circle in the top of a watermelon, like a lid.

Scoop out the flesh and reserve and carefully cut out eyes, nose and mouth.

Pop a tealight candle inside, replace the lid and your jack-o’-lantern is complete!

  • To make these healthy Halloween treats, chop up the watermelon flesh from your jack-o’-lantern and place onto wooden skewers. Alternate watermelon with grapes, blueberries, raspberries and rockmelon, or whatever fruits you prefer.
