Pom pom Easter egg painting

Pom pom Easter egg painting

Toddlers will love creating some colourful Easter craft with this fun pom pom painting idea. Break out the paint and remember: a happy toddler is worth a little bit of mess.

What you need:

  • 4 x medium craft pom poms
  • 4 x clothes pegs
  • 1 x A4 piece of white paper or card
  • paint
  • black marker pen

Number of players:

Activity:

Draw a large Easter egg shape on the piece of white card or paper.

Set out four blobs of paint and if possible, match the pom pom colours to each paint colour.

Then if you want to be really particular, you can colour-match the pegs as well.  Get your toddler to help you do this: a simple colour recognition exercise that they will love.

Using a peg to hold each pom pom dip a pom pom in the corresponding paint colour, then use the pom pom to make a polkadot on your Easter egg.

You can do rows or random polkadots, there's no rules. But whichever way you do it, the fuzzy coloured circles make a lovely pattern on your Easter egg.
